Hi, I'm Brett Rigby. Thanks so much for visiting my site! Allow myself to...introduce...myself...anyway.

I've been performing since my voice was actually high enough to sing the part of Feivel from "An American Tail" while in the Greater Lansing Children's Choir in Lansing, Michigan. That was actually my first solo ever. You can imagine how my friends reacted when they heard me sing it...they beat me up. Just kidding...maybe. In any case, once I started singing, I realized how much fun it was. From that point on there was no shutting me up. I would sing in the shower like I had 10,000 people watching me...hopefully I didn't because I was naked. After high school and more than 10 years of performing however, I listened to the voice of reason and enrolled in the Music Education program at Alma College in order to obtain "a real job" as a music teacher. Man was that exciting! (sarcastic) After two years of learning how to teach scales to 10 year olds and helping little Suzy to the bathroom, I could no longer ignore the fact that I belonged elsewhere. So I washed my hands and began to audition for Music Theater Performance programs. Shortly there after, I was accepted into the performance program at Western Michigan University. I've been pretty happy ever since. There I obtained my BFA in 2004 and immediately moved to New York City, where I signed with my agency the Krasny office. Now I live on the upper west side, pay too much for my apartment, and wait tables 40 hours a week until I can perform full time. I tell you what, I wouldn't have it any other way. I absolutely love the city, I am grateful and excited for my life in New York as a singer, actor and artist, and I can't thank my friends and family enough that helped me get here.

Take care,
Brett
